Summary
This workshop will provide an introduction to participatory evaluation. The session will include a grounding in the history and theory underlying participatory evaluation with the focus being on approaches and strategies evaluators can use to meaningfully engage communities in the evaluation process. While the workshop will include some lecture, participants will learn through a variety of activities which will include opportunities to share and build on their own knowledge and experiences. The workshop will, in the spirit of participatory evaluation, actively engage participants in the learning process.

Linda is a partner in Proactive Information Services Inc., a company specializing in social research and evaluation. Linda has been a teacher, facilitator, researcher and evaluator. She has worked in evaluation for 35 years, including projects across Canada as well as in Europe and South America. A former National CES President, Linda received the CES Service Award in 2003 and, in 2009, was inducted as a CES Fellow. She currently sits on the CES Credentialing Board.
